My Miss Universe 2009 Announcement !!

Well guys, now you all now where the next Miss Universe 2009 is going to be!!!! I started this week having such a great time in The Bahamas, uffff such a release from the cold weather and the snow (that I love any way). On Wednesday we had a press conference where the Minister of Tourism Vincent Vanderpool, the Presidet of Atlantis and Kerzner International, Goerge Marcontonis, The President of the Miss Universe Organization Paula Shugart and I. We announced the date and the place of the Miss Universe 2009, and yes(!), it is going to be in the Bahamas. I’m sooo soooo soooo happy for that, I have heard that "everything is better in the Bahamas", and after being there I have no doubt. It’s going to be a beautiful place to bring such an important event, the Bahamian people are incredible, so kind and nice and the weather is perfect! The food is too good, plus all the Islands that we are going to be able to see and enjoy, I cant wait to go back there, it is so gorgeous! Thanks to everybody that made this happen, you don’t know how excited I am for it :p. This Thursday I arrived in NY by noon and at 5 pm I was already going back to my favorite place; the Airport. We had to fly to Russia, and it was going to be my first time visiting there. I’m very very fortunate that after the Bahammas I get to go to such a beautiful country. Once we got there on Friday we had interviews and an espectacular dinner. On Saturday, the Miss Universe Russia takes place and it is going to be great because I know that all the contestants are gorgeous, and the show is special. So I am very much looking forward to that. I will let you how it was next week ;) And now you know!!! See you all in BAHAMAS!!!!!!!! :D

I think the opening number to the Miss Universe 2009 should be Boney M.'s 1979 hit ''Bahama Mama'' which was on the OCEANS OF FANTASY LP, great song this song should be the opening number of Miss Universe 2009 and I want to see you walk to the serenade of This is your night, your future is bright , the world is yours, you've won it all, just look at you, you're ten feet tall.
Loooove that song.
Glad that you had a great year as Miss Universe and yes The 2009 event will be the best ever.

Hello Dayana!!! ....nimrod.... I think you´re right...the song should be a little changed of course...it would be great an opening with all the misses wearing their national customs with that song...like a carnival...since the event will be in Bahamas.

Hola Dayana! and also to nimrod, I also agree about the music. It should be exciting just like it was in the 80's. They should open with Carribean Queen from Billy Ocean, The Little sis. serenade you are my star in evening gown compet., and the crowning song should be 'This is your night, keep on shining your light!! It should be an 80's tribute.

Guru again! I think that Dayana should do her farewell walk to the song that Alicia Machado did her final moment as Miss Universe to: "You are so beautiful tonite" the instrumental
